Formerly of Power 106 Los Angeles, The Baka Boyz shows “Friday Night Flava’s”, “The World Famous Roll Call” and the “Cali Caliente Power Mix Weekend” revolutionized hip-hop on the west coast. Under the reign of the Baka Boyz, Power 106 in Los Angeles became the mecca for upcoming artists and where international acts such as Cypress Hill, Ice Cube, B.E.P, Jay Z, Wu Tang, P. Diddy, Biggie Smalls and Eminem were given their first shot. The phenomenon would soon spread national to over 70 United States markets.
Currently, The Baka Boyz are embarking on a new venture with music industry aficionado Rick Aaron, David Harned Sr. & David Harned Jr. of Orange County Productions to produce a concert series consisting of 30 shows in 55 markets, with stops in mid-size arenas and cities around the U.S., including Albuquerque, NM; Kansas City, MO; Tulsa, OK; Oklahoma City, OK; Salt Lake City, UT; Reno, NV; Columbus, OH; Milwaukee, WI, with more dates to be announced. The Baka Boyz are heard in syndication in all 55 of the markets (including Bakersfield, Calif.), and will be on-hand to host the majority of shows.
